Althaia – Cap Blanc

Taste: Highly refreshing beer, with a hint of bitterness and citrus and fruity flavours due to the double dry hopping.

Cap Blanc is a small paradise by the sea, which has been home to all the peoples of the Mediterranean. As a frontier land, its inhabitants have coexisted with the land and the sea. They have been shepherds, sailors and farmers. One night, pirates landed in a nearby cove and roamed Cap Blanc in search of captives and then held for ransom, capturing a young couple. Shortly after setting sail, a storm broke out and the hostages took advantage of the storm to escape, swimming ashore. The next day, they were found lying on the beach. When they woke up, they told how a woman with skin like that of fish helped them in their escape. In homage to this fish-skinned woman from Cap Blanc, we brew this aromatic, low alcohol, straw-coloured, bright, fresh and perfumed beer, with citrus and floral notes and a slightly bitter finish. I must be a mermaid: I have no fear of the deep but a great fear of surface life.
