Althaia – Costa Este

Back in May 2017, our friend Javier Zornoza, from Brew & Roll brewery (Pamplona), awarded as the best new brewery at the Barcelona Beer Challenge that same year, came to visit us. We set out to make a new style of beer that was gaining more and more followers every day: New England IPA or NEIPA. Today it is one of the most popular IPA styles on the market. This style was born in the eastern United States and its main characteristics are: a more moderate bitterness; a predominance of citric and fruity hops in the aroma; a full-bodied and silky mouthfeel and a characteristic cloudy appearance. To achieve this creamy texture in the brewing process, oats or wheat, or in our case both cereals, are added. To this day we continue to brew this beer that grew out of that collaboration, was the start of a beautiful friendship and has become one of our most loved references. Happiness comes in waves
