Born from a collaboration with our friends at Totenhopfen (Luxembourg), this Imperial Stout carries Brazilian roots. Its founders brought us wood chips from the Bálsamo tree, an indigenous species that contributes mentholated nuances and woody cedar notes. A rare ingredient that interacts surprisingly well with the cacao nibs and the roasted accents of dark malts, adding a refreshing touch to an otherwise intense beer.

On the nose it is deep and enveloping, with a pronounced character of pure cacao, coffee, and caramel from the roasted malts, all intertwined with the delicate freshness of Brazilian Bálsamo. Notes of resinous wood and a subtle menthol echo lift the aromatic profile, adding an unexpected and highly elegant dimension.

On the palate it enters with full body and a silky texture, unfolding flavours of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and dark caramel. The presence of Bálsamo brings balance and vibrancy, with an herbal freshness that cleanses and extends the sip. The finish is long, warm, and complex, where cacao and wood merge with a mentholated hint that invites you to explore each sip further.
